Twainstein’s 80/50 Method

Unfortunately, most test prep companies and private tutors teach content—that is, here is everything you need to know for every conceivable question that could appear on the exam. In many cases, sets of 8-12 books are provided as part of the course curriculum. The reality is that 80% of the exam can be answered by mastering just 50% of the content.

Remember, the GMAT/GRE is not an exit exam. Unlike exit exams (for instance licensing exams in dentistry or engineering), entrance exams like the GMAT and GRE don’t require retention. Once you hit your target score, the test, and all of its content, is dead to you. That’s the difference between the Twainstein approach and most other test prep companies. We are not comprehensive. We are efficient…and that is what the exam is testing: efficiency, not mastery.
